Mission

The AfWASA 's mission is to mobilise stakeholders in the water and sanitation sector in Africa to strengthen their capacities and guide policies aimed at guaranteeing sustainable and universal access to water and sanitation services. This mission is based on the following pillars:

  • Capacity building for service operators in the water and sanitation sector;
  • Horizontal enhancement of partnerships between African water and sanitation entities through the sharing of data and good practices;
  • The consolidation and development of the performance of national public institutions and local authorities in the AfWASA intervention sector;
  • The mobilisation of technical, scientific and financial partners.

The AfWASA 's vision is ‘To be the leader in capacity building and a major player in advocacy in the water and sanitation sector’.
